I really don't know how we'd be doing if we hadn't found you, I don't know if we would have made it honestly.

My mother was 95 years old and living in Waterville, Maine when Laura started working for her. I was the POA for my mother and doing the best I could to provide for my mother’s needs from Rhode Island. Laura met with my mother and made recommendations to me. My mother had a very difficult

personality to deal with so we knew that providing for her health and safety would be difficult.

Over the next 2 years, I found Laura to be someone that I could trust wholeheartedly. She is dedicated, caring, fair, and very knowledgeable in the medical field. Whatever was required, Laura found a way of getting it done. And she also found the time to help me in the process of understanding my role in this situation.

Laura was responsible for the following:

• Interviewing and finding healthcare workers. Providing them with detailed instructions
• Scheduling the healthcare workers usually 1 month in advance
• Collecting and providing me with timesheets for the insurance company
• Visit the house to ensure the house was clean, safe, and stocked with food/supplies.
• Check my mother’s vitals and advise treatment if necessary
• Take my mother to doctor visits. Sometimes would take my mother out to eat after.
• Refill the pill box for the week.
• Fill in for a healthcare worker in an emergency.

Laura did much more and it would take pages to list.

She communicated with me on a regular basis and I always knew my mother’s status. Laura went to the hospital to make sure the nurses knew my mother’s medical history and instructed them on how to communicate with my mother.

The care Laura provided my mother was above and beyond all my expectations.

My mother wanted to die in her home. That was the wish she gave to me.

Laura and her team of healthcare workers made that possible. They also gave her companionship and joy.
